The essentials, in plain language. TX247 runs a mature rules canon — 18 in-game rules plus the Rules of Engagement — and this page is the readable summary. Staff rulings follow the full canon in Discord.
No single grid over 130,000 PCU — the same cap as the shipyard's Flagship class. Oversized grids get removed. Store spare ships at a Services Terminal instead of parking the whole fleet in the sky.
No Shared Inertia Tensor on pistons/rotors/hinges, anywhere, no exceptions. It's a physics exploit and it comes off on sight.
Every faction flies its tag: GDC PvPvE (PvP is duty only), TRF PvPvE (frontier raids and wars), DIG PvE (protected), MPE PvP (permanently flagged). Independents start neutral with all four. The Factions page spells out what each tag means.
Earth orbit is GDC Protected Space: no lawful weapons fire at all. Shots fired there are a crime — expect a standing hit, a bounty, and a Fighter Corps response.
DIG members can't be lawfully attacked — except when running a frontier convoy contract, which opens a temporary risk window for that run only. Attacking protected DIG outside that window is a bountied crime.
MPE pilots are permanently flagged: lawful targets in any sky (safe zones still block damage). Shooting pirates is never a crime — it can earn you GDC and DIG standing.
A surrender offered in a fight must be accepted. Continuing to fire on a surrendered ship is a rules violation, not a victory.
Raids follow the canon spacing — the same target doesn't get hit back-to-back. The full Rules of Engagement in Discord carry the detailed spacing, switching and declaration rules.
Mode switching to dodge consequences — flagging off to escape a fight you started, or hiding behind a protected tag — is restricted under the RoE. Your tag is your word. Set your flag in chat with !tx247 pvp on / off — it locks while your combat timer runs (5 minutes after your last fight). !tx247 who lists flagged pilots; !tx247 bounties shows the bounty board. Crimes also raise wanted stars on your name — and running doesn't clear them: escape a response and the escape is recorded beside the crime. Wanted stars never expire on a timer while you fly. Settle the tab by paying your fine with !tx247 payfine — or wait for a hunter to collect it the hard way. The one write-off: go dark for fourteen straight days with the fine unpaid and the Coalition clears the bounty, the fine and your name from the board — but an escape recorded beside the crime stays on your record for good.
Wrecks and derelicts are fair salvage for anyone. Claimed, owned, active grids are not — that's theft or an act of war, depending on the flag.
Staff are not responsible for delivered grids lost, stolen or destroyed in gameplay after delivery — except verified server-fault losses, which are restored from backup with a ticket and proof. Every commission is backed up at delivery.
Disputes go through tickets, not grid-side arguments. Staff rulings follow the canon; abuse of staff, exploits, and chargebacks (which void delivered goods) end in removal.
This is the distilled essentials page. The authoritative document is the full 18-rule canon + Rules of Engagement, kept in Discord and enforced in game. Season 1.
