Welcome to Coalition Space
The harbor, the law, and why your conduct is remembered.

Coalition Port Authority, pilot. Welcome to TX247, a living sector where mining, trade, exploration, and war all answer to Coalition law. Before you light your drive, learn the first boundary: Earth orbit is GDC Protected Space. No weapons fire is lawful there, at any time, for any pilot. It is the harbor where new crews learn, damaged ships recover, and traffic moves beneath a watchful sky. Beyond that harbor, the frontier opens—but it is not lawless. Your faction, your flag, and your conduct are remembered. Trouble can find you, and help can be called. In the next few minutes, this briefing will set out the law, the distress call, the four powers, and the credits that keep this sector moving. Listen well. Fly accordingly. Port Authority out.

The Law — Flags, Crimes and Bounties
How flags work, what counts as a crime, and what a bounty means.

Your flag tells the sky what you are. To fly the player-versus-player flag, type this command in global chat: exclamation mark, tee ex two four seven, space, pee vee pee, space, on. Replace on with off to stand down. Outside Protected Space, pilots who are both flagged may fight lawfully. Fire on an unflagged pilot anywhere, however, and you have committed a crime. In GDC Protected Space, no shot is lawful—not an opening shot, and not return fire. Once combat begins, your flag locks for five minutes, so no pilot can escape consequences by standing down mid-fight. A proven crime costs five points of standing with the victim’s faction and posts a bounty of five million Space Credits, stacking to twenty-five million. A crime in Protected Space also brings a GDC warrant. MPE pilots are always flagged. DIG pilots may not be lawfully engaged, except during a staff-declared exposure window.

Calling for Help
The two distress calls, the orbital QRF, and when to climb before calling again.

If trouble finds you inside GDC Protected Space, call early. In global chat, type an exclamation mark, then nine, one, one. Or type an exclamation mark, then the word mayday. Either call reaches Port Authority. If the threat qualifies, a GDC quick-reaction wing launches toward the fight: Coalition escorts built and armed for orbital work. Listen for the scramble, arrival, and stand-down calls on comms. There is one limit every pilot must understand. The wing cannot enter a planet’s gravity well or atmosphere, and it will not be sent down to crash in one. If you are fighting on a surface, do not wait beneath the sky for rescue. Break away if you can, climb until gravity releases you, and call again from orbit. Sustained weapons fire involving pilots in Protected Space can also summon the response without a call. Outside Protected Space, no patrol is promised.

Factions, Credits and the Market
The four powers, standing, Space Credits, and the hub market.

Four powers shape TX247. The GDC keeps the peace, defends Protected Space, and answers distress. The TRF flies the frontier, where raids, trade, and wars are part of the weather. DIG moves the sector’s industry—mining, freight, and production—and flies protected unless staff opens an exposure window. MPE is the Wake: pirates under a permanent battle flag, lawful targets in any sky where weapons may fire. Fly with none of them and you begin independent, neutral with all four. Your conduct changes your standing, and standing changes how each power treats you. Space Credits are the working currency of the sector, spent and earned through trade and the GDC hub market; the supporter thank-you rate is ten million credits to one dollar. Supporters keep the lights on and receive credits as thanks, never purchased power. Choose your colors carefully. There is no changing sides.
